Meet Mr. Royston “Max” Lyttle, our Dean of Culture

Mr. Royston “Max” Lyttle is our Dean of School Culture. A respected leader in education with nearly two decades at Eagle Academy PCS, Mr. Lyttle has served as a special education teacher, vice principal, and principal—helping lead the school to multiple Tier 1 ratings. Mr. Lyttle is a passionate advocate for educational equity and believes deeply that every child deserves access to high-quality education, regardless of background. His thought leadership has been featured in The Washington Post, The New York Times, and Ed Post, notably for his article, “Making a Case for More Men of Color in Early Education.” He holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Walden University and a B.S. in Physical Education from Virginia State University.

Meet Ms. Makira Holder, Our School Counselor
Ms. Makira Holder.  Ms. Holder (she/her) is a graduate professional counselor within the District of Columbia. Ms. Holder loves working with children and their families to help every child and their family shine bright! Ms. Holder has received her B.S in Psychology and her M.A in Forensic Psychology. Ms. Holder has continued to promote wellness in the field while engaging in service roles at many private practices, public mental health agencies, and behavioral health units within state hospitals throughout Maryland and Washington, DC. Ms. Holder believes in creating a safe space for every little one here at Global Citizen and assisting in their personal growth!.
