Monique Kerr is an experienced regulatory professional with a strong background in financial services, compliance, and public administration. She currently serves as Lead Associate of Regulatory Affairs at Fannie Mae, where she supports strategic initiatives, regulatory engagement, and compliance management.

Prior to joining Fannie Mae, Monique held several leadership roles at the District of Columbia Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking, including Acting Associate Commissioner for Banking and Licensing Manager. In these roles, she led teams responsible for licensing, examinations, and community outreach programs, with a focus on promoting equity and inclusion within the financial sector.

Monique is deeply committed to community engagement and youth empowerment. She has organized initiatives to introduce students from underserved communities to careers in finance and banking and has led discussions addressing bias in financial practices. She brings to the board her leadership experience, strategic mindset, and deep belief in equitable access to education and opportunity.

Monique holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia and lives in Washington, D.C., with her family. She is passionate about dual language learning, strengthening pathways for student success, and expanding equitable access to educational opportunities.
