Donique Muhammad brings more than 15 years of experience in education leadership, with a focus on advancing equity, instructional excellence, and community partnership. As Vice President on the Seed Team at the Charter School Growth Fund, Donique identifies and supports school leaders in the early stages of creating, expanding, or replicating high-performing public charter schools.

Before joining CSGF, Donique served as Senior Vice President of Outreach at Waterford.org, where she oversaw partnerships, recruitment, enrollment, and marketing. She previously held national roles supporting schools and systems through leadership development and instructional improvement, including serving as Director of School and Systems Leadership at Teach For America and Managing Director at Instruction Partners, where she led professional development for educators and launched the organization’s antiracism and equity initiatives.

Donique began her career as a Teach For America corps member in Memphis and went on to become the founding principal at Freedom Preparatory Academy Charter Schools. She earned a B.A. in Physics from the University of Mississippi and an M.A. in Special Education and Teaching from the University of Memphis. Donique lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband, Rabb, their two children, Omar and Meadow, their au pair, Salome, and their dog.
